It's a BIG decision

Choosing a new floor is not an easy decision for most of us. Your floor is something you look at EVERYDAY, it takes wear and tear EVERYDAY, it needs to be cleaned REGULARLY. That being said, your floor should accomplish three basic things: It should be beautiful, durable and easy to maintain.

All too often, homeowners are uncertain of what floor to choose and end up with one they're not satisfied with. Why? Because they are either overwhelmed with too many choices, they don't understand the different options or they are taking the advice of others who may have good intentions(maybe not) but are focused on what the trend is and not really thinking of what YOU want.

We will help you to know what YOU want. Let us clearly explain the options. We will weed out the bad options. Yes, there are bad options. Believe it or not some companies are just out to make money and don't care about the quality of the product that they put out there.

Selecting a Product

Maple, Red Oak, White Oak, Hickory, etc. How can you decide? We will help you break down the price differences, looks, durability and other unique characteristics of each species. We work with local hardwood flooring distributors to obtain the highest quality materials you can buy.

Installation

Whether it's prefinished, unfinished, engineered or solid, we will make sure to install your floor right so that it last a long time.

Sanding

Sanding can be a difficult process if you don't have the right tools or the know how. Fortunately, we have both. Our sanding equipment is for professionals, not the rental equipment that you pick up locally. We have DUST CONTAINMENT vacuums for all our equipment which greatly reduces the cleanup.

Sealing and Staining

Sealing or staining is what gives your floor its depth and color. Sealing allows the natural look of the wood to shine while staining adds a specific color of your choice and brings out the different grain patterns.

Finishing

Finishing requires finesse...especially with fast drying, water-based finishes. We generally use Bona products. Bona Traffic HD has been our finish of choice for many years. Satin or Extra Matte are great sheen choices. What are the advantages of Bona Traffic HD? Fast drying time, durability and very low VOCs.

Buff and Recoat

Sometimes your existing hardwood floor is not in that bad of shape. But it does have a few surface scratches and the finish seems to be dulling or getting uneven in sheen. BUFFING AND RECOATING your floor is a great option. No sanding and most jobs can be done in a day with your floor looking as good as new at a fraction of the price of sanding and finishing.
